God Hand Examined

I was extremely curious about this video game since it originated from CapcomClover studios (so sad to see them go, luckily they created Seed Studios). I loved Okami and enjoyed Viewtiful Joe. What made GodHand even more intriguing was the variation between the rankings for this video game. I figured I need to give this game a shot.

Graphics: 7

The graphics in God Hand are good. There are some problems with the video camera yet you can obtain made use of to it fairly fast. One very quirky point is when the sides of structures dissapear every now and then when you are dodging however that does not happen frequently. The personalities and animations look amazing but the landscape is rather bland.

I directly like the western twang of the songs and it goes well with the overall style of the game. This was tough in the beginning due to the fact that the game controls are so basic. Look at video games like Evil one May Cry 3 and God of Battle. There is so much you can do. The controls right here do not measure up to todaycriteria however it doesnt matter. The controls for this video game, while fundamental, fit it perfectly My greatest issue is the reality that YOU TIN NOT JUMP! On a favorable note, the communication with adversaries, throwing barrels, etc are on point. It is very fun to beat the black out of your enemies with combos, juggles, button mashing and the God Hand.

Story/Presentation: 6

Once more, one more difficult thing to assess because there are ups and downs. The story itself is kinda cool. The presentation is very basic. You are essentially thrust into this video game without any introductory or anything like that. Likewise, there is no tutorial. There are random (and think me when I claim arbitrary) spots on the ground that you can walk over and see what button does what. I think they might have boosted presentation a great deal.

Replay Worth: 5

There really is not way too much replay value to this game. There need to be a two player or versus setting.
